Life expectancy at advanced ages

In recent decades, the scientific literature has provided a wealth of information about the survival rates of people aged 60 to 80. Much less data is available when it comes to people aged 80 and over and that makes it much more difficult to estimate their survival rates. In this research project, international data about the highest age brackets are being used to identify better estimators for their survival rates.
